Another One Of Nature’s Gifts

20130918-170238.jpg

With all of the shots of nature that I take you would think that I live out in the country on a farm with woods surrounding me, not even close. I am very blessed that my parents have always been Mr. and Mrs. DoLittle. Nature, except snakes, have always been welcomed and found safe a safe haven in our yard.

Thinking of Daddy’s Dr. DoLittle qualities, when we were young, my Daddy taught one of our dogs to play baseball. He watches Westerns with his Chihuahua Heidi now, and he will pretend shoot her with his finger “POW” and she will dramatically roll over and play dead.

They both taught me to love and respect Heavenly Father’s treaures.

I do not mind sharing my space with this cute boy.

Week Photo Challenge: He Loves Unconditionally

Roscoe is the most compassionate dog I know. He picks up on cues. I was feeling down. He came over and laid his head on my tummy as if to say, “Mom, I am here.”

When I or my husband cough, he runs and jumps on the other until we let him know that his other parent is okay. He can be awakened from a deep sleep or in another room by a cough a do this. Sweet sweet boy.

Daily Prompt: Kindness

Daily Prompt: Moment of Kindness

I told Lillee a joke. She smiled a courtsey smile.

Then she caught the punchline…

Then she could not contain herself…

I asked her if she liked that joke…and she winked at me.

I Call Her Piglet

Yesterday my parents purchased this cutie. She is tiny, only 3-4 ounces. I cannot remember the exact weight. Feeling something was not exactly right with her Mother took her in to our vet first thing the morning. She has genetic problems as seen in puppies from inbred parents. One of which is hydrocephalus. This angel was meant for my Mother’s loving care. I am sad that she has these problems and will have struggles, but with my Mother’s loving care she will thrive.

Mother has been helping with my Uncle’s family yesterday and today as they laid his Mother to rest and so I have spent a good bit of time with the little one. The first picture is one I took of her with my Iphone, she looked just like a piglet, and so the name stuck for me, and unfortunately, she comes when I call her. 😉

So without further adeiu introducing Piglet!

I EAT YOU BALL!! Numm Numm Numm Numm!!!

Gauge loves to play with a ball. As long as it is round, or sort of round, it is a ball to him. My potatoes, my onions, tennis balls, the neighborhood golf balls, pine cones…I am telling you, anything sort of round is a ball to him. He loves it! And plays for hours!

I grew up with small dogs, usually Pekingese. The rest of my family has Chihuahuas, but when I married my husband we decided that we would get a larger dog. Our first dog is Roscoe. Not pictured in these images. He is designer, okay, mutt. Sharpei-Labrador. He is amazing smart. When he was young and we were both working, we could not stand him being lonely so we bought his pal Enos, definitely mutt. Labrador and something else, my vet calls him a dachshund on steroids. You will see their pictures soon. Daisy Mae and Gauge are our papered English Blockhead Labradors. They are amazing and lovable. Big teddy bears! Dealing with infertility, they truly are my babies.
