Strike A Pose

The squirrels are becoming some of my favorite models. I love their cute poses and silly facial expressions.

If I Am Really Still

I walked over where we put Tender’s corn on Saturday, and when I looked up I saw this cute guy enjoying a kernel on the pecan tree. His coat made him almost camouflaged. Quite a stealthy little guy.

Guard Frog

I posted this on my other blog. Love this big guy.

Reclaiming My Narnia

This guy is growing, emphasis on growing, into an awesome guard frog. He is HUGE, looks like a mutant when next to his froggy pals. That is a watering bucket outside my door that he was proudly perched on when we came home last night.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Companionable

I love my “Guard Frogs”. They let me know when the rain is coming. They are just adorable to me. I pet them and talk to them everytime I come home or when I am on my porch. I think this picture is so cute of them coming out to greet me.

I Call It Spike

I should probably learn the name of things. Please if you ever see a flower, insect, mushroom, or anything I post and know the real name share it. ūüôā

Bringing Home A Baby Bumble Bee

I am having a ball with the Macro lens.  WOW!  Just WOW!  I cannot wait to try out the telephoto, too.

The next was a pretty large bumble bee. ¬†I didn’t realize bees were so fast or so hairy.

Bumble Bee on Petunia Clear 6-27This is the stuff my nightmares are made of.  I tell you what.  I do not know why I sneeze like crazy when I get in from taking pictures.

Pollen, the stuff nightmares are made of 6-27

I found Smurf Village. ¬†Couldn’t find the little blue guys though. They must have been somewhere else.

Smurf Village 6-27

This is what Bec’s nightmares are made of. ¬†No Bec, ¬†I did not kill it. ¬†It hopped flower to flower.

Trying Macro Lens-Having Fun!

Today I played with the macro lens. I cannot wait to play with it more.

Such a Beauty, and Not As Earrings

Seeing the beauty of these lizards through the eyes of an adult, I almost feel guilty for wearing them as earrings as a child. I guess they thought they were attacking the giant as they chomped now on my ears, and I thought I was funny. Poor guys!

Glad their descendents do not hold a grudge and pose for such beautiful pictures.

This little fella looked like he was reading the Seven Dust bag in the last two shots.

The Frog and the Dragon Fly

I was excited to capture these two shots.  It is like they knew I was having a rotten day yesterday and so they posed for me.  Thanks little creatures, you make my day.

Weekly Photo Challenge: The World Through MY Eyes

My Life 6-21

Not far from my house lies this mound of scrap metal and junk. I can relate to it in so many ways. ¬†I feel thrown away. ¬†Like I have been left by the wayside, tossed and forgotten. ¬†Those parts that were once shiny and new, have become weathered and are not longer useful. ¬†I do not even recognize what I am anymore, much less who, or why. ¬†Depressed, hating myself, thoughts of suicide nearly daily, but according the our wonderful government “Occasional depression that will not interfere with work.” ¬†Right.

I would hate to know what constant depression and anxiety feels like.  I really am tired of trying.  Okay, I give.
